About Me



Abigail Hum is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and has a strong passion for women’s health. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario before doing her Master’s Degree at Queen’s University researching the impact of HIV-related fatigue on women’s quality of life. Upon completion of her physiotherapy degree a few years later, she began working as a clinician in Kingston, Perth and Napanee.

Abigail has received advanced training in treating various pelvic health conditions (see “Pelvic Health Conditions” for more information) that can be debilitating to participating in daily physical and social activities. Her passion lies in working with individuals to restore not only their physical bodies but also their hope in living well.

Her diverse treatment skills include:

  • External and internal manual therapy (e.g. soft tissue release, scar massage, joint mobilization – correcting dysfunction in joints and/or muscles)
  • education to promote independence and self-management at home for acute and persistent pain as well as complex chronic conditions
  • acupuncture
  • taping techniques
  • therapeutic exercise prescription
